William (Shorty) Grewe Sr. 81 of Sweeny, Texas, accustomed his final healing from his Lord, Jesus Christ, afterwards his continued and adventuresome action with blight on Monday, July 2, 2007, at his home.
Shorty was built-in to Henry Dan and Molly Grewe on January l, 1926, in Columbus, Texas. Afterwards confined in the Marine Corps during World War II, he met and affiliated his wife, George Marie Pierce, and started his 35-year career with Dow Chemical Company. Afterwards his retirement in 1986, Shorty enjoyed family, friends, traveling, tinkering in his boutique and a lot of angle fries.
Shorty was preceded in afterlife by his parents; his sister, Clara Bell Grewe; and baby granddaughter, Molly Ann Comley.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, George Marie; and four children, Fred Grewe and wife, Debbie, Virginia Sims and husband, Gary, Monroe Grewe and wife, Tany,a and Mary Comley and husband, Mic; sister, Viola Schilling; 10 grandchildren, Phillipp Grewe and wife, Sara, Marisa Grewe, Liberty Grewe, Amanda Kallus and husband, John, Clint Sims, Margaret Grewe, Tiffany Aspermonte and husband, Ray, Desiree Crites, Mike Comley and Magen Comley; seven great-grandchildren, Killian and Kelty Grewe, Gary-Paul and Victoria Sims, Makenzie and Carlee Kallus and Chauncey Aspermonte; two nephews, Curtis Hinton and Arcus Pierce; one niece, Rhonda Ernst; and one great-niece, Kristie Hinton.
Funeral casework will be captivated at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at 10 a.m. with Kevin Naillieux and Joyce Lawrence officiating. Interment will chase at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia.
Shorty’s ancestors will accept accompany on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Mike Comley, John Kallus, Curtis Hinton, Paul Hoover, Cliff Walker and Mark Franks. Honorary pallbearers are David Visser, Jim Bouton, Bill Hatchett, Marvin Winquist and Kenneth Lott.
In lieu of flowers, Shorty’s ancestors requests that memorials be fabricated in his name to Helping Hands and Hearts Hospice or the Visiting Nurses Association.
